U.S. Daylight Saving Time Begins – Trading Hours Update
Important Notice for CMTrading Clients
Please note that Daylight Saving Time (DST) in the United States begins on Sunday, March 8, 2026. As clocks move one hour forward, this change will affect the trading hours of several instruments available on the CMTrading platform.
As a result, adjusted trading hours will take effect from the market open on Monday, March 9, 2026.
Due to the time shift in the U.S., trading schedules for certain markets — particularly U.S. indices, commodities, and forex instruments influenced by U.S. trading sessions – will be updated to remain aligned with the underlying markets.
What This Means for Traders
With the U.S. session shifting forward, traders may notice changes in:
-
Opening and closing hours of some assets
-
Overlap between major market sessions
-
Volatility during key market hours
We encourage all traders to review the updated trading schedule to ensure they are aware of the new market hours and can plan their strategies accordingly.
